ZestSC1 is a low-cost desktop FPGA platform that has been developed by Orange Tree Technologies for use with SystemCrafter SC.

It consists of:

• High speed USB2.0 interface with 480Mbits/sec transfer rate.
• Large Xilinx Spartan-3 FPGA.
• SRAM memory.
• Expansion header for user IO.

ZestSC1 can draw power from the USB port giving it great portability. For instance it can be used with a laptop. For higher power a wall adapter or a hard-drive power connector can be used. It's very quick and easy to get going: you just have to plug a USB cable into ZestSC1 and your PC. It comes with support software for FPGA configuration and communication, and logic cores for the FPGA interfaces.
